Tonya Rose-Davis
Founder/Executive Director

Tonya Rose-Davis attended Pennsylvania State University where she majored in Advertising and became a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority where she learned the importance of “Service”. She ultimately completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at Temple University. She ventured into the advertising profession, where she met small business leaders who influenced her desire to start a business. While pondering over various business ideas, she was led to pursue her passion to, “provide youth with opportunities”.

YEP emerged as an organization after the founder attending several community meetings, where the residents complained of increased criminal activity inflicted by youth. She volunteered to start a program for youth before challenging the community to do the same. The community supported her efforts with fundraisers, marketing, volunteers and political support. In 1993, at the age of 31, Mrs. Davis started a renowned Marching and Drum corp. in the city of Philadelphia, PA. which evolved into Youth Enrichment Programs, (YEP). YEP was founded, subsequently, incorporating and received a 501C3 non–profit charitable exempt status in 1999. Over the years, YEP has serviced thousands of youth. To date, YEP provides youth with high-quality early learning programs, job opportunities for teens, mentoring programs, coat, food and toy drives, health awareness and Trainings. Tonya challenges others to become engage in purposeful youth programs and in making a difference in young people’s lives. “It is imperative that each of us be an instrumental influence and a strong voice in advocating for at-risk inner-city youth and their families.
